As a woman, to achieve the position of Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer is an itself big motivation to woman empowerment, but using that position brilliantly to raise the India’s dignity to the whole world is a worth appreciable task.
I am talking about Sneha Dubey, who is an Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer of 2012 batch. Sneha is an intent traveler and believes that as an IFS officer, she has received a great opportunity to represent her country.
Recently, on 24th September 2021, Sneha gave fiery response to Imran Khan, president of Pakistan at the UN.
She is India’s first secretary at the United Nations who criticized Pakistan in a blistery retort for sheltering and supporting terror.
She called out Pakistan for raking the Kashmir issue at the UN body and referred to the nation as, “an arsonist disguising itself as a fire fighter.”
As soon as her fiery response at the United Nations appeared on social media, the young diplomat, Sneha has won praise globally.
I would like to share some proud statements about Sneha spoken by her teachers, principal and friends.
Therese Almeida, a Manovikas school’s founder-director (Manovikas school where Sneha studied)
“All the publicity she has received is well deserved. Its not about just having a good position. We are proud to see her do something more and help create a better world. Sneha is working for the country and is in the public eye, and we are delighted. We were taken up her forceful speech.”
Sneha’s former principal, Srabonee Thakar
“She had clarity of thought right from a young age, and you could tell she was well-read and well informed. She was very soft spoken but firm. We couldn’t be prouder of her.”
Thakar also added, “She spoke so clearly with so much conviction and confidence. It has not only made her teachers, but also every Indian proud. It also speaks much about the empowerment of the woman and shows how powerful woman have become in today’s world.”
Danika Lobo, school friend
“We are proud of the stand she took and the way she put forth India’s sentiments so eloquently. She is representing India at the highest level and is an epitome of passion and inspiration, which is wonderful.”
Sneha was born in Goa, India. She belongs to Hinduism family. Her father works in multinational company while her mother is a school teacher. Sneha is the first in her family to join the government services.
Sneha completed her schooling from Manovikas school, Margao, Goa, India where she topped her matriculation batch in 2003. Then she shifted to Pune, Fergusson College for higher studies and finally to Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) for M.phil in International Studies.
